To explain again—Noh draws on historical events and literary works, and progresses as a song-and-dance drama centered on chanting called utai and dancing. Kyogen, on the other hand, is based on everyday events from the medieval period, usually performed by just two or three people, and is mainly dialogue-driven.

In short, this play expresses Demon Slayer through classical singing, dancing, and dialogue! And in Japan, since young people don’t usually watch Noh or Kyogen, the fact that they already knew the story of Demon Slayer made them curious—and it became a big hit!
