Mafuyu(^q^)/ :I watched Episode 1 of Anime FGO but I didn’t understand it at all~~~!!

 

 

 

【Fate/Grand Order】Since I Didn’t Understand Episode 1, I had a FGO Otaku (Senpai at Otaku Republic, who has played FGO) Explain It Clearly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :Oh well…. I expected that there would be an explanation for the beginners since it was Episode 1 of the new Anime. But…. thirty minutes were just gone without me understanding it much…. I knew, though, that there was a strong girl, who moved super smoothly in the battle scene…

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :You saved me… I was going to give up watching Episode 2 since I didn’t understand Episode 1 much…

 

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Whaaaaaaaaaat!! Well, I was a little worried that those who have no idea about this title might get confused but… for me, who have played FGO, I really wanted to watch this Anime. It was so refreshing to be able to seen a battle scene, where they moved smoothly, and the one, where characters cheerfully talked to each other…”

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “I want to say confidently that it wouldn’t be difficult but the attraction of Fate/Grand Order is its world view, so the setting tends to be complicated! I’ll help you out so you can enjoy watching it even more!”

★What kind of story is Fate/Grand Order in the first place?

 

The organization: Chaldea Security Organization, where they observe human’s future, found out that the human become extinct in 2016. To stop it from happening, they solve the seven ‘Singularity’, which creates a cause of the human extinction, or just make them disappear.

 

 

 

 

★As for Fate/Grand Order, I have an image, where so many Chara appear. Why?

 

Let’s make it clearer. Some historical spirits of dead soldiers support the main characters, so they can stop the human-extinction, which means【there will be no history, where they actually existed】. Some spirits are kind and some just temporarily help them just for their ambition.

 

 

 

 

★What is a Singularity?

 

There is a past, which actually couldn’t exist. It’s a part, having【accidents】, which is very different from the present history and if we don’t do anything to it, the past might not be able to reach the ‘present history’.

 

For instance, as for the first Singularity, Jeanne d'Arc, who was executed (at least that’s what we thought she was), was revived and was going to go toward the history, where she makes France, which was her home country and where the war was just over, extinct.

 

 

 

 

★What is the Rayshift?

 

It’s the way of going to Singularity from the present.

Rayshift has aptitude and only those who have the aptitude can go to the Singularity.

 

 

 

★Who is the main character?

 

 

It’s Fujimaru Ritsuka.

He is the one who has Rayshift aptitude to go to Singularity, and us a ordinary person. He is a Japanese boy, who was headhunted to the Master candidate because he had the Rayshift aptitude even though he had incapable of using magic or martial arts. Besides him, there were 47 candidates of the Rayshift aptitude but everybody except him was killed or in the critical condition due to the explosive accident, occurred in Chaldea. Therefore, he is the only one who can save the human extinction.

 

 

 

★Who is Mash?

 

 

She is Mash Kyreilight. It’s a 16-year-old girl, who is a staff of Chaldea.

She also had the Rayshift aptitude but she got badly injured from the explosive accident. To heel the injury, she integrated with the Heroic Spirit, Galahad. She made a contract to Fujimaru Ritsuka as a half human and half the heroic spirit and became a servant, following him. Unlike other heroic spirits, she might be killed if she gets badly injured since she has a flesh.

 

 

 

★Who is Dr.Roman?

 

 

He’s Romani Archaman.

A staff of Chaldea and the chief executive of the medical department. He is friendly and makes people calm.

Since most of the staff were killed in Episode 0, he supports Ritsuka and Mash. Actually, he is a super idol otaku.

 

 

 

★Who is Da Vinci?

 

 

Leonardo da Vinci was summoned as a servant.

She is the third heroic spirit who came to the servant summon experiment. Before she died, she was of course a man but she was summoned as a woman because of the reason【If I am summoned anyhow, I will be summoned as the most beautiful figure in the world, Mona Lisa, which is my best work of all. Because I’m the most beautiful one. 】But the fact that she is genius would never change so she supports the main character with various inventions.

 

 

 

★Who is Solomon?

 

 

He is the one who created the Singularity. The last boss.

To reach him, we need to extinct and fix all the 7 Singularities.

 

 

 

★What is this creature?

 

 

It’s a mysterious creature, Fou, who cries Fou.

It’s a small animal, who started living in Chaldea before they noticed, and he somehow has the Rayshift aptitude. Cute.

 

 

 

★What was he doing in this scene?

 

 

 

Honestly, I don’t know.

But since there was an explanation about the battle uniform, I assume that he used the battle uniform’s skill;【The battle support where even ordinary people can use with magic】, which Da Vinci-Chan invented. Since Fujimaru Ritsuka cannot do any magical support, he supports, using Da Vinci-Chan’s inventions like this.

 

 

 

 

★All the characters are super strong, huh?

 

 

 

I would rather say, ‘they came to the era when super strong people normally lived, than, ‘the characters are super strong”.

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :Well… that means that to fix the wrong history, where the human become extinct, the main character came to B.C., huh?

 

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Yep! For instance, what was the girl, who they ran across on the way, looking for?  Or At the beginning, a man said ‘Come to me now!’ but again he refused Ritsuka and his buddies by the barrier… Why? These questions will be clear in Anime so check out Episode 2 and the ones after Episode 2!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :By the way… what kind of different history is this Singularity (?) going to go through?

 

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “As there was an explanation in Anime too but【The human is about to extinct because of the invasion by the three Goddesses. 】It would be a huge pinch because human wouldn’t exist if they were already extinct in B.C. !”

 

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “People fleeing from invasion got together at the big city, Uruk,  and built up the huge castle wall, escaped from the monsters, which were trying to attack them. This is Absolute Demonic Front; Babylonia, which is also a part of the title, huh?”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :I see! Then the purpose of this Anime is to knock down the three Goddesses and save human, huh?

 

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Yes~! If you understand that, I’m sure you can enjoy Episode 2 fully! The advanced screening has already showed us Episode 2 but it’s got a high evaluation, saying【the battle scene’s quality is so high】!!  Of course it’s all up to you guys if you watch it or not but I really want you to watch Episode 2 at least~!”
