【Magia Record】Puella Magi Madoka Magica’『if』! Let’s Learn Three Episodes of One of the Most Recommended 2020 Winter Anime, Magia Record!

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :Well, well… hi guys! It’s Mafuyu from Goods Republic! Today, I will feature Three Episodes of Magia Record, which I think is the most awesome one among 2020 Winter Anime!!!!! I’ll divide three Episodes into four parts in this article! For those who haven’t watched them yet, let’s review that with us so we can enjoy Episode 4!

 

 

 

 

 

 

●The main character, Tamaki Iroha wanted to “cure her younger sister’s illness”. But Tamaki realized that she didn’t exist anywhere in the world…

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ : The main character of Magia Record is Tamaki Iroha, who is a magical girl. She’s 15 years old, in the third grade of junior high school (9 grader). Since her parents are now gone for a work trip, she now lives on her own.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :While she was a magical girl, she wasn’t able to remember how Kyubey made her wish (becoming a magical girl) come true. However, one day, she remembered what the “wish” was…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 “Kyubey, please… cure Ui’s disease!”

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :Iroha-Chan remembered that she had her younger sister named ‘Ui’, who then was dying from serious disease and… that she asked Kyubey for a help… and that she became a magical girl. But…

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :There were no such girl named Tamaki Ui. Why did she become a magical girl for such a non-existent young sister…? Iroha-Chan was confused about the difference between her memory and reality.

 

 

 

●The story was set up in the boom city called Kamihama-Shi. The place was known to be the city where powerful witches get together and ‘the magical girls can be saved’!!

 

 

 

 “Hey Tamaki, have you ever heard of the city called Kamihama-Shi, where the magical girls can be saved…?”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :At that time, Iroha-Chan met another magical girl called Kuroe for the first time. Kuroe became a magical girl, wishing to go out with someone she had crush on.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :However, she broke up with him after all and now was regretting becoming a magical girl. What she had was a flesh who cannot die just like a zombie, and a soul gem. She dies if it breaks. Kuroe says that she wouldn’t have wished to become a magical girl if she know she would end up having such a destiny.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ : While she was disappointed that much, she heard a rumor about Kamihama-Shi. She heard that more and more magical girls, who wished to be saved and not to die, were visiting the city.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :But, all the witches who lived in Kamihama-Shi were extraordinarily powerful that the two were driven to a corner. But then, one of the magical girl called Nanami Yachiyo helped them, saying…

 

 

 

 “You two are not supposed to be here.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :For the magical girls, it’s considered as a stealing behavior to hunt the witches, who don’t live where they live. They found out that the witches there were powerful and above all, the rumor saying the magical girls would be saved, was not true after all, ended up being kicked out from there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :But! They also found out that there was a hospital, where her younger sister, Ui, was staying at in Kamihama-Shi! Iroha-Chan thought that there was a secret in Kamihama-Shi and above all, there was her younger sister…! Then she decided to go back there!

 

 

 

●She never drops Grief seed!?  A new enemy, called a ‘rumor’, which is not the witch, appeared!

FriendShip Ending Staircase

 

《At Middle School, attached to Kamihama-City College. North side at the east building. The staircase that goes from fourth floor to the rooftop.》

《There is your name on the 6^th step of the Friendship Ending Staircase . If you write the name, who you want to break off your friendship with, on the 7^th step, that’s the proof that you’ll end the friendship.》

《You can end your friendship with that friend in the rest of your life.》

《But if you make up and are back to friends together, then the one who apologizes will be taken away by the chain monster!》

《Then you’ll be locked up in the Friendship Staircase, end up being forced to clean up the staircase for good… That’s the rumor among all the student》

Mafuyu(^q^)/ : Guess what? There existed other “enemies”, other than the witches in Kamihama-Shi! They were called the “Rumor”, which was like the “Urban Legends”, where they attack you if you take an action under particular circumstance…!!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :The “Rumor”, which involves people into the special situation, was the existence, which only magical girls can defeat. Therefore, some magical girls at Kamihama-Shi, Minami Rena, Akino Kaede, and Togame Momoko were trying to lure the “Rumor” but… they had a serious quarrel while they were planning for the strategy… At the end, Akino Kaede, who was matched with the Rumor, was taken away!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :As a result, they were able to defeat it with a help of Nanami Yachiyo but they couldn’t find any Grief seed, which witches should have dropped. What is true color of the enemy? Why do they appear only in Kamihama-Shi…? That’s what they wondered…

 

 

 

 

 

 

●Tomoe Mami was alive!!! A Chara, who appeared in Puella Magi Madoka Magica joined!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :There is another secret in Kamihama-Shi. It was the city, where Kyubey “cannot enter” (If she does, then she becomes unconscious.) But Kyubey still wanted to know what the city was like, ended up asking Tomoe Mami, who was a professional magical girl, for an investigation!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ : In Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Mami-San, who was killed by the witch in Episode 3, was alive in this Magia Record…!! Is she going to be just like Puella Magi Madoka Magica? Or maybe she will have a totally different life than her…? Mami-San, who was asked for the investigation, infiltrated Kamihama-Shi…!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :I have to say that one of the attractions of Magia Record is that we can feel the worldview of Puella Magi Madoka Magica again!!!!! That’s something which other Anime cannot do! It’s a huge attraction…!!! Since it was produced by almost the same staffs as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the character’s unification, witches designs and spooky but mysterious worldview, are nostalgic and fresh as well…!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :And the magical girls who appear one after another are so individual. Guess what? The one called a "Coordinator”, who can adjust others’ soul gem exists too…!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^)/ :A sure thing Puella Magi Madoka and【Magia Record】which has the different world view from Puella Magi Madoka Magica… To me, it’s one of the most recommended 2020 Winter Anime as the one which I cannot wait for the next Episode!
