The reason why I started to play RPG was I wanted to be ready to watch an anime, Persona5, by playing the game Persona5! And now, I’m thinking of playing a game of that series to enjoy its anime, starting to air in spring 2021 even more!

Subarashiki Kono Sekai (The World Ends with You) is a game developed by SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD in 2007. The genre is fantasy×action RPG.
It’s been going viral not only in Japan but also throughout the world with great reviews. It’s perfectly created with a stylish action battle, exciting music, attractive characters and a mysterious scenario. So many fans have been looking forward to the sequel to come out.

The story is set in Shibuya in the modern world.
There…… 7-day-“Shinigami (Reapers) Game” is held.

The main protagonist, Sakuraba Neku, is a 15-year-old-boy, living in Shibuya.
One day, he wakes up in what seems to be the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan, which he is familiar with. However, something totally different is…… the thought of the people surrounding him begins to flow into his head at once!
He finds himself in the world called “UG” (Underground), which is similar to Shibuya but exists in the different dimension. It looks like Neku was selected as one of the participants of the “Shinigami (Reapers’) Game.”
Not knowing what to do, he is now in the 7-day-“Shinigami Game” with another girl participant, Shiki, who was selected without her own will, just like Neku.
If they cannot complete the mission provided in the “Shinigami Game,” the participants will be vanished. Is Neku able to survive for the whole seven days……!?
Those, who have already watched the anime’s trailer, really liked it, saying “The anime is completely replicating the game’s atmosphere!”
Even I, who is not familiar with the game much, can tell how well the anime is being replicated by the game such as a unique atmosphere of the game and illustrations!

Why three years after the anime’s story but not after the game’s story……? It looks like the anime version will be created by arranging the game released in 2007, into the one released in 2021! It doesn’t mean that the story will be significantly changed but it will be more like the updated story for the past three years, adding current view of Shibuya or the latest mobile machines!
