Pandora Hearts is such a popular fantasy series, serialized from 2006 to 2015, huh? It’s been made into an anime series and it’s one of the most featured series in Goods Republic too!

And! Vanitas no Carte (The Case Study of Vanitas)’s anime series is divided into two parts, huh?? As for its comics, eight volumes in total have been released so far, meaning tons of episodes seem to be made into an anime series, huh? Can’t wait!!

Outline of Vanitas no Carte (The Case Study of Vanitas)!

The story is set in 19th century in France.
Unlike a modern world where we live, it’s the world, where “vampires” exist with the steam engine significantly developed.

One of the main themes of this series, “Steampunk,” is one of the science fiction (SF)’s genres and the world in this genre is oftentimes described as “the world where the steam engine is significantly developed, compared to the actual world”!

And top of that, in this series, there exists “vampires”. How on earth do they exist in such a world?

In this world, the vampires are known as the ones who were defeated by humans at war.
However, the ones who survived, have recently emerged in town and started to attack humans…… according to the rumor.

In this world, there once lived vampires, however, they got defeated by humans at war. But the rumor says that some of the vampires emerged at night in Paris, France, and murdered nine people, sucking their blood.

And in this world, a “fairy tale” shown as below regarding vampires, is handed down too……

The book is Vanitas no Carte (The Case Study of Vanitas). A cursed book, killing all the vampires……!!

The main protagonists in this story are Noé Archiviste who looks for ‘The Case Study of Vanitas’ and a boy named Vanitas, which is the same name as this book!

The story starts off when Noé Archiviste heads for Paris. While a rumor, saying vampires start to emerge in Paris, is spreading, there is another rumor, saying someone has found The Case Study of Vanitas, pops out (according to Noé’s master)!

Noé believes that what his master says in the letter and heads for Paris by plane. And…… the “intruder” shows up on the plane! The intruder is a boy with “blue eyes,” having a very similar book to a fairy tale book, The Case Study of Vanitas……!

These two meet in the sky of Paris, full of conspiracies…… What in the world is the secret hidden in vampires? What on earth is The Case Study of Vanitas?

To me, this is the most classic-type fantasy story among all the summer anime, so why don’t you check out episode 1 anime along with its goods?
