Yep! Chainsaw Man is one of the hottest Shonen Jump series! I bet many of you might be familiar with it by its name but don’t know what kind of story it is...... For those who really don’t know about this series, I want you to get familiar with it more in this article!

So today! I’ll be featuring Chainsaw Man’s outline and characters!!

What Is Chainsaw Man?

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujimoto Tatsuki-Sensei. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 2018 to December 2020, with Part 1 collected in eleven tankobon volumes. Part 2 is scheduled to release as well and serialize in Shonen Jump+ (Web site).

As of June 2021, over 11 million copies have been issued and it has received various manga awards as well. Its anime adaptation is underway and it will be produced by MAPPA, which has also produced Jujutsu Kaisen (Sorcery Fight)’s anime adaptation.

In Japan, the feedback of the final chapter became a trending topic on social media every week! It’s quite a big hit manga series! Well, then what kind of story is Chainsaw Man......?

It’s a story about a boy who hunts Devils as a Devil Hunter.

The story focuses on the world, where monsters called “Devils” exist. The main protagonist, Denji, worked as an unofficial Devil Hunter to pay off his deceased father’s debt but......

He worked as a Devil Hunter to pay off his deceased father. However, he was murdered by Devils who held a grudge against the Devil Hunters. After he died, he makes a contract with Devil, Pochita. Then Denji is revived as Chainsaw Man and is solicited by one of the Public Safety Devil Hunters, Makima, ending up starting to work as an official Devil Hunter. His dream is “to have a normal life.” His personality is just like a typical 16-year-old boy’s for better or for worse.

He is a mascot of Chainsaw Man. So cute.

He is the Chainsaw Devil, who was dying and saved by Denji. When he and Denji were murdered, Pochita regenerated Denji’s dismembered body. After he said “Show me your ‘dream,’ Denji,” he and Denji become as one. He is actually big in size.

She belongs to the Public Safety Devil Hunters, formed by police as the organization, where they fight against Devils. She is the leader of the organization and solicited Denji, who had acquired the power to fight against Devils, after making a contract with Pochita. While she is very mysterious and strict, she is sometimes kind as well.

He is a Senpai Devil Hunter who belongs to the Public Safety Devil Hunters.

He is a kind boy with common sense. Although, he sometimes becomes strict to others so they don’t have to be killed when they fight against Devils. Due to the incident which happened in the past, he hates Devils more than anybody.

She is also a Devil Hunter who belongs to the Public Safety Devil Hunters.

She is called “Fiend”; “Devil” has possessed to a human’s dead body. She loves to fight and easily gets excited; however, she tends to lie and try to cheat when she is in trouble. She can never get along well with anybody but her cat, Meowy.

Part 1 of Chainsaw Man comes with only 11 volumes but they are super awesome manga series with a great storyline, foreshadowing...... and of course, characters’ super beautiful depictions!!

This is absolutely a masterpiece...... Well, I would say...... we get shocked by reading it. There are not so many scenes of violence and murders but the storyline itself is amazing...... Well, that’s all I can say about this series......!!

Here’s what I want to tell you guys. Before anybody gives you a spoiler of the ending, just read it. This is it. The less you know about this story, the more “shocks” you will get after you finish reading it......!
