ONE MORE MONTH until the “Movie Free! The Final Stroke, the 2nd Volume” Releases! Visited the Real-Life Locations of Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)!!!

But for this particular April this year...... it’s going to be super busy especially for Otaku!!!! Why......?

There are so many anime movies coming up!!!!!!!!

Starting from our favorite annual movies, Meitantei Conan (Case Closed), there’s also the one whose anime on TV was super popular, ODDTAXI, or even Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)’s final chapter arc, coming out!!!

Especially for Free, which I used to watch in real time 9 years ago, is now coming to an end, which makes me so moved......!

Commemorating having this memorable moment of Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)’s very long history...... guess what? I went to visit Iwami-cho, Tottori Prefecture, which was the stage of Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club) during 1st and 2nd Season!!

In today’s article, I’ll especially share with you the best parts about Free, its Goods, and visiting the real-life locations!

As many of you might know, it’s the stage of Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)! It’s a port town and one of the UNESCO Global Geoparks, known as a tourist spot with a beautiful coastline!

People living in this town are willing to support Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)’s prosperity. In this town, while the anime was actually broadcasting on TV, the cosplay’s shooting was allowed or they even had a special tour of the places which were shown in anime!

People go there either by train or car, but I definitely recommend going there by train!

Why? Because we can actually be in Iwatobi Station which is often shown in anime!

While looking back various things that happened in anime, feeling nostalgic, I saw a tourist center right next to the station, where I saw a lot of messages by Free!’s fans or characters’ panels!

Then I decided to rent an electric bicycle at the tourist center and follow the path, where Haruka, Makoto or Rin have passed!!!

This is my first destination!!!

We saw this coast in so many scenes of Episode 1 of 1st Season and more.

I bet the scene where Haruka and Makoto commute along this coast must have impressed many of you......

Look! I wrote this on the beach and put their acrylic stands next to it! It’s always good to bring anime goods with us when we travel so we can take this kind of photos !!

And my next destination was......

It’s the area where the main protagonist, Nanase Haruka, and his childhood and best friend, Tachibana Makoto’s houses are located! Especially, Haruka’s house is a part of the Tajiri Shrine, which the God of fishing is enshrined!

Since this area is located on a little hill, the view from there is outstanding too!!! I’m so jealous of Haruka and Makoto who live in such a beautiful place!!

This port, close to the Tajiri Shrine, was shown in the scene of Episode 5, 1st Season of Free!, where the members of Iwatobi Swim Club were heading for the training camp...... and my next destination is this observatory!

In 2nd Season of Free!, Haruka was upset when Makoto said he would go to a college in Tokyo. That conversation took place in this place. Another scene of Makoto and Haruka from the latest movie (1st volume) took place here too!!

What a superb view!! I love this Haruka’s acrylic stand holding this whole view!!

How did you like my little tour of appx. 25km with five hours? Since it was a peaceful country side, the air was so fresh and the tour was so awesome~~!!

So! The 2nd volume of the movie, Free! The Final Stroke, which will be the series’ completion, finally releases on April 22, 2022! The ending of 1st volume was a little shocking but what’s gonna happen to Haruka, Rin, Ikuya and Makoto next?
