A new tv anime series of Mobile Suit Gundam has been airing since October 2022!
The main character is female! This is first time ever! Our image for the Gundam series is the battle story, but the new series has a little different story! The new story takes place at a school on a planet!!

Story of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, episode 1!

Suletta Mercury is a girl from a remote region planet, Mercury. She was about to enter the Asticassia School of Technology. While she was heading to school, she found a person who was drifting in space.

Suletta is a girl from a remote planet, Mercury, where not many people live. Her mother recommended that she enroll in the Asticassia School of Technology. She was not surrounded by children of the same age group so she has been picked on as a country girl at school. Her personality is sweet and kind. She cannot leave anyone who is in trouble or needs help.
She has been with Gundam Aerial since she was small, so she treats it as her family member.

Miorine Rembran

She is the only daughter of the chairman of the board of Asticassia School of Technology.
Good looking and smart. Her personality is cool and she prefers to be alone. Due to the influence of her late mother, she loves to grow plants in the school. Her father has power in the school board and he is going to set up her engagement forcibly.
As such, the first episode that took place at Asticassia School of technology showed fierce battles using Gundam and the positions of each character in the story. The anime quality of the battle scenes and story in the school went viral in Japan after episode 1 aired.
I watched episode 1! Gundam has a long history and many series, so I was wondering if I can understand it without knowing much. However, nothing is complicated at this point and its worldview and character relationships were easy to understand. I am looking forward to watching the next episode! As such, in episode 1, the main character, Suletta, started going to the school and met with Miorine. If you watch episode 0 and the prologue novel, Stellar Nursery, you may watch episode 1 from the different point of view.
In episode 0 and the prologue, you will find a story of revenge...... Suletta’s mother was denied by Miorine’s father long before. She was hoping to get revenge.
Suletta’s mother enrolled her daughter in the school. Suletta’s mother lost everything, such as her important research, the lives of her friends and her husband because of Miorine’s father who is the chairman of the school board.
The purpose of sending her daughter to the school is a part of her revenge. If her daughter, Suletta, wins the battles in school, she will be able to take Miorine, the only daughter of the chairman of the school board. Suletta did not know anything about her mother’s past. She won the battle and became a fiancé of Miorine.
If you don’t know episode 0, it will be just a story that takes place in a school with a rare female main character. However, the prologue about what Suletta’s mother had gone through before makes the whole the story different. Since Suletta did not know anything about her mother’s plan, she was trying to help Miorine kindly. What is going to happen to these two girls? Sweet Suletta may feel heartbroken......

Previous Mobile Suit Gundam anime series developed serious stories. So, I am very curious how Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will develop its unique story. According to episode 1, the main character, Suletta, is very sweet person. I hope she becomes happy in the end, but she seems to have some secrets.
