Trigun is a manga that was written and illustrated by a manga artist, Naitou Yasuhiro-Sensei from 1995 to about 1997. It was made into an anime and a movie. The fans from not only from Japan but also all around the world still love this Sci-fi x gun action manga today.

The manga aritist, Naitou Yasuhiro-Sensei, is currently working on Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen). So, many of you may not know Trigun, but you may know Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen).

Trigun is also famous for its unique worldview, fascinating characters, and storylines that have influenced many creators! In one particularly famous episode, Fate/stay night scenario writer, Nasu Kinoko-Sensei, said, “When I depict [the side of justice] as an entertainment piece, I am never without that [lovable gunman] in mind.” She describes Trigun and its lead character, Vash, as very memorable!

Okay, What is the story of Trigun? According to the author, Naitou Yasuhiro-Sensei, the concept of the story is“Phony sci-fi western.”

One day, humans were to leave the earth and crash-landed on a planet full of sand due to an accident. Exposed to harsh temperatures and high gravity, humans have managed to survive by relying on the wreckage of half-destroyed spaceships.

One hundred and fifty years after the spaceship crash landing, there were rumors among the surviving humans of the existence of a certain person.

He has blond hair like a broomstick and wears a long red coat. And it was said that when he comes, a storm of destruction will blow through. It was Vash the Stampede, a very high bounty hunter named Humanoid Typhoon!

To find out if Vash is really real, newspaper reporters Meryl and Roberto followed up on the sighting. Then, in no time at all, Vash was found! What exactly is Vash, a wanted criminal with a 6 million reward? Two newspaper reporters begin their investigation. Then......

Here's the beginning of the first episode of TRIGUN STAMPEDE currently airing! Actually, at this point, there are some major differences from the original and the past anime versions!

In fact, in past works and in the manga version, it was a woman named Milly who was paired with Meryl. Furthermore, Meryl's occupation was that of an insurance company employee. So there are quite a few differences at this point compared to the original! There were some differences in the anime version in 1998 and the movie version, but it's pretty remarkable to see so many major changes in the main characters and even their occupations!
