This is where it all began....

I have been chomping at the bit to review this badge (too busy at work). This is the beginning of everything happy and imaginative for me. I had watched a few other anime before Gintama. They were great but it was just watching a nice program to me.

When I first started watching Gintama, I began to really look forward to any episodes with Hijikata in it. I kept asking myself "What is wrong with you? Are you, are you really, are you REALLY crushing on Hijikata? This is an animated drawing...get a grip!".

I opted not to get a grip but instead allowed myself to fall head over heels in love with all things anime, manga, doujinshi, official and unofficial (fan created) merchandise. I love being able to relax and escape into all of these things. I watch and read all genres, but only collect a certain genre of things. I can find everything here on Goods Republic and Otaku Republic. I can easily browse through this well organized site and find what I need. I am very busy and have little free time so this is a must for me. The badge arrived in perfect condition. I order often from this site. I am so happy I can find everything I need here.

Wow, I am 45, married with 4 beautiful children, own my own business, and am PROUD to love all of these things. This badge captures my love for my new life as someone who openly adores all the things mentioned above. It was a turning point in my life and I am so happy to own this badge. Looking at it reminds me of how fortunate I was to discover a whole new world I never knew existed.
