Summer is almost at its peak......! On-air summer anime is also starting to make huge plot advances heading toward the end of September climax!

And so, today’s article will feature a special work from this Summer 2022 Anime List! Perhaps wondering “What scene is that summer anime currently on......?” about this one! I’m here to analyze in a very simple way (though bit generalized), the anime in question!

and so today, I’d like to explain about New Prince of Tennis, whose TV anime series is currently airing after 10 years! You may know about Prince of Tennis, but are you aware of which part of the story is on the screen right now~!?

Well, for this, there’s many spin-offs and sequels, and the timeline is bit complex...... so I’ll give a general explanation!

First, the manga-version “Prince of Tennis” was about a Japan’s national championship of the strongest teams! Then, “The New Prince of Tennis” was about U-17(Under 17) training camp where excellent under-17 tennis players competed and prepared for the world championship!

Now in this currently animated “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup”, the story begins with Ryoma, of all things, getting expelled and leaving the U-17 training camp!

Ryoma had to give up being on the Japanese national team. But, Ryoma is then approached by his “big bro” (though no blood relation......?). Ryoga invites Ryoma to go to the United States, and to compete in the “U-17 world cup” on the American national team.

One after another, Ryoma beats other tryout members, and earns a position on the American national team! Then “U-17 World Cup” opens...... The U-17 world cup participants include, of course, members from the old training camp and Tezuka, a tennis player who was training in Germany to go pro.

Hence, this New Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup animates the details of the world championship! In addition to the familiar members from The New Prince of Tennis’s training camp, this anime will introduce new international players as new characters! See for yourself the details of the intense matches and all sorts of skills!

Alright. So that’s the bare summary, but I’m sure there are still many of you who are unclear about “The New Prince of Tennis”! For now, don’t think too hard. As long as you are aware that “the fighting stage moved to the world”, you will be fine! There is little change to characters’ relationships and age, so for both new viewers and returning old viewers, why not revisit Prince of Tennis with this U-17 World Cup!?
