Six groups battle it out in these rap battles to gain control of their respective territories! (I'm oversimplifying it a lot here).

Moving on, what's crucial is that the storyline of the second season has significantly progressed from the first season! Specifically, the first season covered the first 'Division Rap Battle', and with the conclusion of the second 'Division Rap Battle', the second season portrays the events right after it. It's a timeline that's very close to the latest events, which are also portrayed enthusiastically in drama CDs!

To conclude, since it's the second season, it would be better to watch the first season. However, the first episode of the second season was designed to be easily understood even for those unfamiliar with 'Hypnosismic'. It introduced characters, the world, the settings, and the current issues. So, you might not have to rush to watch the first season.
