As a big fan of Meitantei Conan, 2022 was a wonderful year. Because many titles of Meitantei Conan (Detective Conan) series for anime and movie were released in 2022!

In January, a spinoff series, Police Academy Arc – Wild Police Story, was released and I remembered that I enjoyed it a lot at the beginning of the year! (This was connected to the movie released in 2022!)

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling) was very popular among members of Goods Republic! The theme of the story was about cosplay! The sequel for anime version was announced to be made. If you haven’t watched it yet, please check it out before 2023 comes!

In April 2022, the smash hit anime, SPY x FAMILY, was aired. The second half of the season was released in October and currently still airing. I am watching it now!

Furthermore! Chiikawa: Nanka Chiisakute Kawaii Yatsu, was also released this time of the year. (This short anime with 2-minute episodes was aired once a week within a news program!) This popular title has currently released various collaboration goods and events in Japan. It was based on a web comic that was released at social media with small number of fans. Now, this cute and surreal anime became a smash hit and everyone knows Chiikawa in Japan!

In summer, both anime and movies were great! Started airing in July 2022! Summer 2022 Anime!

Personally speaking, summer 2022 was the most exciting season for the anime movies!

My favorite title, Uta no Prince Sama, released the complete new movie, Maji Love STARISH Tours, in summer 2022. (It was released on September 2nd......I considered it is still in summer). I personally think that the movie was well-made! Tokiya’s solo was amazing!! I was so happy to watch it!

And, don’t forget ONE PIECE FILM RED!! This anime movie was a mega hit in summer 2022. In Japan, 13.01 million people watched it at the theater and the sales was over 18 billion yen! It has become a mega-hit work that broke various records in the history of Japanese cinema!

Finally, here are some titles in Fall 2022 Anime that are currently airing! Again, personally speaking, Chainsaw Man’s opening song, KICK BACK, is the best anime song for me in 2022!

Chainsaw Man was a great anime! Other titles like Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, and Yowamushi Pedal LIMIT BREAK that was a sequel after a few years, were also amazing in 2022! So, personally speaking again, I think that Fall 2022 Anime season contained the most interesting anime lineup. (Maybe because I am still watching the season’s anime now......)

If I choose the best anime in 2022, well...... it’s hard to make a decision, but if I dare to choose, I will choose Chainsaw Man due to its high quality animation and interesting story. The theme song changes every week. The story is easy to understand. The animation was perfect. I can feel the love from the creators!! OH, and also Pochita-chan is so cute!

Looking back, 2022 has gone by in a blink of an eye, but I feel like I've met a lot of interesting anime in 2022! Which anime was the best for you in 2022? I am already looking forward to watching anime in 2023! We will keep introducing new anime one after another in 2023! We hope you'll be looking forward to it.
