I am almost a newbie to the Fire Emblem Series, but I heard that the newest Fire Emblem Series release is coming out in January 2023, and I am very interested in it! I'm planning to buy that latest title this weekend, and I wanted to find out in advance what kind of game it is, so I pulled it all together in an article!

【Fire Emblem】The latest in the series, Fire Emblem Engage, is on sale now! It is said that Fire Emblem characters from past editions will appear in the game, but what kind of game is it?

So, I've checked out what Fire Emblem Engage, the latest in the Fire Emblem Series that I'll be buying this weekend, is all about, as long as I don't mention any major spoilers! If you haven't bought it yet, and you're wondering what it's all about, you're welcome to join me in checking out the info that's been released!

The most important feature of Fire Emblem Engage is that the battles are easier to understand and have more depth!

There is a member of Goods Republic who has already bought, played and completed Fire Emblem Engage. According to him, Fire Emblem Engage is an interesting game, especially because the battles are so easy to understand!

I asked him how it was different from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He said that a new system has been added that makes battles more intuitive and yet more profound than in the previous game, such as the ability to move freely within an actionable area, and the creation of weaknesses for each profession!

I told him that the battles in Fire Emblem: Three Houses were sometimes difficult. Then he told me that I could change the difficulty level at any time if I found it too hard! (You can make the difficulty easy, but you can't increase the difficulty from “normal” to “hard”! (You can make it easier, but you can't raise the difficulty)

I'm informed that there is a way to ease the difficulty level even for those who are not good at battles, as it can be set separately from “Casual” and “Classic” where you can set whether or not you have the familiar “character lost” (permadeath) that the series is known for! This sounds like even if I'm not very good at battles, I'll be less likely to get stuck if I change it to easy halfway through! That's a relief~

You become Alear, the divine dragon that has been sleeping for 1000 years, and save the world from destruction!

And I was also told that this scenario is a more traditional RPG scenario (in terms of course of action) than Fire Emblem: Three Houses!

The main character is Alear, a Divine dragon who has been protecting a place called Elyos continent. 1000 years ago, he fought an evil dragon (Fell Dragon) that tried to destroy the world and succeeded in sealing it, but he ran out of power and went to sleep in the sanctuary, Somniel.

However, one day, Alear suddenly wakes up from his sleep because he senses that the Fell Dragon, which was supposed to be sealed away a thousand years ago, is about to resurrect. A group of evil men are attacking the sanctuary where Alear was sleeping with the intention of resurrecting the Fell Dragon! Alear manages to fight them off, but in order to stop the resurrection of the Fell Dragon and to counter the evil group, he learns that he needs to collect the “12 Rings” that once helped him seal the Fell Dragon!

The ring seals the altered identity of the “Hero of the Otherworld” (Emblem)!
Borrow the power of the characters from the past Fire Emblem Series to take advantage of the battle!

And as the highlight of this game, characters from the past Fire Emblem Series will lend their power to Alear as “Heroes of the Otherworld” (Emblem) that reside in the rings! The hidden power is overwhelming, as it is powerful enough to seal the Fell Dragon that once tried to destroy the world! They have such special and powerful skills that they can only be used once in battle!

I've never played with them, but if you search the Fire Emblem Series you'll find many of the characters you see so often......! Apparently there will be conversation events, so it's nice to take this opportunity to get to know a little bit about what kind of characters they are! I've only played a little of the Fire Emblem Series before, so I'm eager to learn what each character's personality is like here!
